COTABATO CITY - Gas prices in Sulu have returned to normal after skyrocketing to about P120 to P130 per liter in recent weeks.
The spike was due to a supply shortage due to delays in delivery from the Island Petroleum Corporation.
Department of Trade and Industry - Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (DTI-ARMM) Secretary Sakiran Hajan told ABS-CBN News that enough supply of petroleum products from Zamboanga City reached the province on Monday.
This caused gas prices to drop to normal levels of about P50 per liter.
At least 8 gas stations that were forced to temporarily close have also resumed operations.
