NEGROS OCCIDENTAL - The family of 17-year-old Michael Ken Pujeda is now grieving after he drowned in a river at the height of typhoon "Glenda" on Wednesday morning.
Pujeda and his four friends were crossing a river in the town of Moises Padilla in Negros Occidental when they were swept away by strong water current.
Pujeda's body was recovered by rescue groups in the adjacent town of Isabela on Thursday morning, along with the body of 22-year-old Ronel Miraflores.
Two of their friends survived the incident while one, identified as Jason Baladhay, remains missing.
Local rescue groups continue to search for Baladhay, who they believe also died in the river.
