MANILA - Typhoon Glenda left behind a trail of destruction in Quezon province early Wednesday morning after slamming into the Bicol Region.
ABS-CBN Southern Tagalog's Angelique Atienza and radio dzMM's Dennis Datu were witness to the tropical cyclone's fierce winds which reached 50 kilometers per hour near the center.
Atienza said she couldn't find the right words in describing the typhoon's intense winds in Pagbilao.
She saw many trees and lamp posts uprooted by the typhoon.
One dump truck also met an accident along Maharlika Highway amid the dangerous road conditions.
Datu, meanwhile, said the strong winds were shaking even large trucks.
A storm surge caused by the typhoon also hit a public market in Calauag, Quezon.
Glenda also left behind floods in several parts of the province. - reports from Angelique Atienza, ABS-CBN Southern Tagalog; Dennis Datu, dzMM
