DPWH staff in Palawan nabbed for drugs

MANILA, Philippines – A casual utility employee of the Department of Public Works and Highway (DPWH) has been arrested by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in a buy-bust operation in Puerto Princesa, Palawan.

The suspect, 45-year-old Joseph Matillano, was caught allegedly selling drugs.

Investigation showed that Matillano is allegedly a member of Commando Brotherhood, a drug group operating in Puerto Princesa and Roxas.

PDEA said the suspect had been arrested five times for selling drugs.

He is a resident of Barangay New Barbacan, Roxas, Palawan. -- Report from Robert Mano, dzMM
