MANILA, Philippines – The chief of police of Pugo Municipal Police Station is in hot water after he was accused of raping a female inmate.
The alleged rape victim “Liza” (not her real name) said Sr. Insp. Jesse Quesada has raped her many times since she was detained in Pugo, La Union last May 6.
Liza claimed that Quesada enters her cell drunk and touches her private parts.
She said the cop also threatened her with his gun and forced her to take drugs.
Quesada has denied the allegations against him.
Meanwhile, lawyer Atty. Edgar Avila volunteered to assist Liza in the case.
Avila is seeking the suspension of Quesada while the investigation is ongoing. -- Report from Dhobie de Guzman, ABS-CBN News Northern Luzon
