MANILA, Philippines - A lucky player from Sorsogon won the jackpot prize of P163,921,759.20 in the 6/55 Grand Lotto during Wednesday’s draw.
Jose Ferdinand Rojas, Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) general manager, said yesterday the unidentified winner played the standard or maintained number combination 36-26-10-49-32-37.
Twelve others hit the second prize of P150,000 when they picked five digits of the winning combination, he added.
The winning ticket was bought from a lotto outlet in Sorsogon City, Rojas said.
The winner is the fourth player to win the more than P100 million jackpot of the Grand Lotto.
A teacher from Cabanatuan City won last May the P136 million jackpot, while a retiree from Southern Leyte and a laborer from Taytay, Rizal shared the P300 million jackpot of the Feb. 23 draw.
A balikbayan from New York City won P741 million – the biggest jackpot prize of the PCSO online lotto game – when he bought a lotto ticket at an outlet in Olongapo City in November 2010.
