MANILA - At least 24 students of the Notre Dame Village National High School in Cotabato City fell ill on Thursday allegedly due to evil spirits.
Twenty-four third year high school students had to be rushed to the Cotabato Regional and Medical Center after passing out while having their morning classes.
The incident was allegedly caused by the evil spirits dwelling in the huge tree just outside the students' room.
The students are now in safe condition.
But the city health office said it will investigate what truly caused the students to collapse.
On Wednesday, 11 students of the same school also fainted supposedly due to extreme heat.
The students passed out while participating in earthquake and fire drills. -- Report from Albashir Saiden, ABS-CBN News Central Mindanao
