MANILA, Philippines – Presidential spokesperson Edwin Lacierda on Wednesday said Department of Interior and Local Government Secretary Jesse Robredo has formed a task force to investigate the killing of Dutch missionary Wilhelm Geertman in Pampanga.

Lacierda said a closed circuit television camera (CCTV) was able to capture the escape of the suspects, which may provide details about their identities.

He also said there is no indication that the killing of the 67-year-old Geertman, a member of non-government organization Alay Bayan Inc., is related to the Hacienda Luisita issue.

Geertman was shot dead in his office in Angeles City, Pampanga Tuesday afternoon.

The suspects also took the victim’s bag, which reportedly contained more than P1 million.

Geertman, who is also an anti-mining advocate, had been living in the Philippines for 30 years. -- Reports from Willard Cheng, ABS-CBN News; Jayvie Dizon, ABS-CBN News Pampanga
