MANILA, Philippines – A taxi driver in Cagayan de Oro City was rewarded after he returned luggage left by his passengers.
Driver Teodymar Salise turned over the luggage to ABS-CBN Cagayan de Oro on Tuesday after it was left by the passengers in the trunk of his taxi.
The bags contained laptops, cellphones and watches.
Salise picked up the passengers in Barangay Cugman and dropped them off at the airport for their flight to Davao.
The passengers were running late for their flight, which caused them to forget their bags at the trunk of the taxi.
They were contacted through a plane ticket that was also left inside one of the bags.
After retrieving their bags from ABS-CBN, the passengers handed Salise a cash reward for his honesty.
Salise, a resident of Camaman-an, Cagayan de Oro, has been a taxi driver for one year. -- Report from PJ dela Peña, ABS-CBN News Northern Mindanao
