MANILA, Philippines (UPDATE) -- Local officials in Tacloban City, Leyte were forced to cancel a scheduled parade on Saturday morning due to tropical storm "Gorio."
The "Day of Festivals" parade was cancelled due to the rains brought by the typhoon.
The Provincial Office of the Civil Defense (OCD) said heavy rains have already triggered floods in some areas in Leyte, which is placed under public storm signal no. 2.
