MANILA, Philippines - The Philippines and the United States will hold a bilateral naval exercise in Eastern Mindanao from July 2 to 10, Malacañang announced today.
Deputy presidential spokesperson Abigail Valte said the exercise is being held under the Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) where the Philippine Navy and the Philippine Coast Guard will train with the US Navy and the US Coast Guard.
"Doon po ide-deploy ang mga ships po natin. This bilateral naval exercises is part of the mutual defense board exercises. It will take place from July 2 to July 10 somewhere in Eastern Mindanao," Valte told reporters.
Meantime, the Philippines sent observers to the Rim of the Pacific exercise being held in Hawaii.
