4 domestic flights cancelled due to ‘Dindo’

MANILA, Philippines – Four domestic flights were cancelled Thursday due to bad weather in North Luzon.

Cebu Pacific cancelled flight 5J 504 (Manila – Tuguegarao) and its return flight 5J 505 (Tuguegarao - Manila) due to strong rains brought by tropical storm “Dindo”.

Airphil Express also cancelled its Manila-Tuguegarao-Manila flights 2P 014 and 2P 015.

Earlier, a Philippine Airlines airplane bound for Laoag, Ilocos Norte was forced to go back to Manila due to bad weather.

PAL flight PR 226, which left Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 2 at 10 a.m., was not able to make a landing at the Laoag International Airport due to poor visibility.

The flight was carrying 150 passengers.

The airplane’s pilot called NAIA authorities at around 11:40 a.m. to inform that the airplane needs to go back to Manila.

As of posting, the airplane has yet to land at the NAIA-2.
