TARLAC - A policeman was arrested after he was tagged in the illegal drugs trade in Gerona, Tarlac, police said Tuesday.

In a buy-bust operation, operatives from the Philippine National Police (PNP), Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), and Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG)-Tarlac, arrested a 24-year-old woman after she was found in possession of a sachet of alleged shabu (methamphetamine) and P500 marked money.

However, the woman said a policeman supplies her with illegal drugs.

Authorities arrested PO3 Emerson Garcia of Paniqui Police Station after two sachets of shabu were found inside his car.

His other companions, believed to be involved in illegal drugs trade, were also arrested.

The suspects refused to comment on the issue. They will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Dangerous Drugs Act of the Philippines.
