MANILA – At least 39 people from various towns in eastern Pangasinan were hospitalized allegedly after eating salted eggs.

The food poisoning victims came from the eastern Pangasinan towns of Sta. Maria, Tayug, Natividad, San Nicolas and Rosales.
The patients started suffering from diarrhea, weakness, vomiting, fever and nausea on June 8.

Thirty-three of the 39 victims have already been discharged from the hospital.

The Department of Health (DOH) has taken samples of the salted eggs to determine whether these indeed caused the food poisoning.
