Rape suspect nabbed through ABS-CBN's 'SOCO'

MANILA, Philippines - Police arrested the 5th most wanted person in San Rafael, Bulacan a day after his face was flashed on TV through ABS-CBN's investigative program "SOCO (Scene of the Crime Operatives)."

Albert Galvez, 23, a construction worker, was arrested while working at a college building in Barangay Pantubig in San Rafael, Bulacan.

An informant had seen the suspect, who is wanted for the crime of rape with homicide for a case that happened on Nov. 20, 2006 and featured on ABS-CBN last Friday.

The next day, Saturday, the informant told police about Galvez's whereabouts, which led to his arrest.

Galvez is a suspect in the November 2006 rape and killing of Leslie Marquez, 19, in Barangay Pantubig.

Three other suspects are still at large.

The suspect said he doesn't know anything about the case although he admitted knowing the other suspects. - Report from Gus Abelgas, ABS-CBN News
