Bar owner gunned down in Bacolod

MANILA, Philippines – The owner of a bar in Bacolod City was shot dead by unidentified gunmen Thursday morning.

Police said the victim, Melecio Endrinal, was having breakfast with 3 women when he was shot at around 5 a.m.

Endrinal was shot in the face, arms, and chest.

Recovered from the scene were 4 slugs and Endrinal’s bag, which contained a .45 caliber pistol, P4,000, and other personal belongings.

Police said Endrinal also had in his bag identification cards of the Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group and Highway Patrol Group.

Police have yet to determine the motive behind the killing.

Endrinal is the owner of a bar at the Goldenfields Commercial Complex, where a policeman was also gunned down on December 2, 2012. -- Report from Yasmin Dormido, ABS-CBN News Negros
