On the first day of school, more than 20 million students trooped to public schools nationwide.

Like every beginning of the school year, problems of inadequate facilities and materials are always brought to the fore.

In Tacloban and the rest of Eastern Visayas devastated by typhoon Yolanda, the lack of classrooms and chairs is not the only problem topping the list.

But victims of typhoon Yolanda try to hold on to the hope of education to bring them out of the rut brought by man-made and natural disasters.
