MANILA, Philippines – An official of the Department of Education (DepEd) has been arrested by authorities after he was accused of molesting two teenagers in Bacolod City.

Suspect Joshua Santillana, a district supervisor of DepEd Cadiz City, was arrested in a raid conducted in an alleged drug den in Bacolod.

The boys said they were forced to use illegal drugs and have sexual intercourse with Santillana.

They also claimed Santillana forced them to have sex with other people while he watched.

Santillana has denied the allegations against him.

He will undergo a drug test and an investigation.

“We observe due process by hearing and then the fact-finding committee will come up with a recommendation,” said Rizalino Tortosa, provincial schools division superintendent.

Santillan may face multiple charges, including child abuse. -- Report from Mark Salanga, ABS-CBN News Negros
