4 suspects nabbed for selling drugs

MANILA, Philippines – A leader of a notorious drug group and three of its members were nabbed in Zambales during a buy-bust operation of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) last May 22.

PDEA director general Jose S. Gutierrez Jr. identified the suspects as Madji Jumdani, 38, Abdul Hawari, 32, Jeordana Cruz, 25, and Trixie Ortegeuza, 19.

Jumdani is allegedly the leader of the Majie Drug Group.

The suspects are reportedly residents of Purok 6B, Muslim Area, Barangay Calapacuan in Subic, Zambales.

The suspects were caught after a PDEA agent was able to buy a sachet of shabu from them in Sitio Matangib, Barangay Cawag.

Three more plastic sachets of shabu, drug paraphernalia, a racing boat and two improvised .22 caliber riffles were also recovered from the suspects.

According to Gutierrez, they have been eyeing the four suspects for a while now.

The suspects will be facing charges in violation of Section 26, Section 5 and Section 12 of Article II of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. - dzMM
