Bus firm in Quezon bus crash suspended
MANILA - The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has ordered the preventive suspension of Raymond Bus Company after one of its units figured in an accident that left two people dead and 13 others injured.
LTFRB Chairperson Winston Ginez said the 30-day suspension covers five units of the bus company.
The affected Raymond buses are plying the Camarines Sur-Cubao, Quezon City route.
A Raymond bus collided with a 10-wheeler truck along Diversion Road in Barangay Lalig, Tiaong, Quezon province before dawn Wednesday.
A three-year-old girl and a 25-year-old man were killed in the accident.
Thirteen other bus passengers were wounded.
Bus driver Elizalde Ibias and truck driver Jesus Granada are now in police custody. -- Report from Johnson Manabat, dzMM
