MANILA, Philippines – Luis Miguel "Migz" Villafuerte, the son of incumbent Governor Luis Raymond “LRay” Villafuerte, has been proclaimed governor of Camarines Sur.
Migz won the race against his grandfather, Rep. Luis Villafuerte Sr.
The younger Villafuerte got 263,792 votes while his grandfather received 200,086 votes.
Of the 4 Villafuertes who ran for public office, only Migz came out victorious.
His father LRay lost in the congressional race to incumbent second district Rep. Diosdado “Dato” Arroyo.
