ZAMBOANGA CITY -- A former congressman in Zamboanga City, whose name is included in the so-called 'Napolist,' says he welcomes the disclosure of the document.
Former Zamboanga City District 2 Congressman Erico Basilio Fabian, who is currently out of the country, explained in a phone call that he is not bothered at all that his name was included on the list.
He said this will pave the way for an opportunity to explain their side of the story.
He also said he did not have any transaction with any party-list group but instead gave his allocation to the Department of Agriculture (DA).
He added that it was in 2004, during his first term as a congressman, that he allocated more than P3 million.
He previously tried to clarify the matter with the DA and found out that the bidder of his project was facilitated by a bonafide party-list.
Other than Fabian, the name of his staff Alen Ruste was also mentioned .
Fabian lost the mayoralty bid in 2013 in Zamboanga City after his last term as congressman for District 2.
He decided to retire from politics when he lost.
