MANILA, Philippines - Incumbent Governor Emilio Ramon "ER" Ejercito looks set for reelection in Laguna province, according to the latest tally from the Commission on Elections (Comelec) Tuesday.
Ejercito, who ran under the opposition United Nationalist Alliance, has 404,764 votes as of 5:17 a.m., according to partial and unofficial results from the Comelec Transparency Server.
His closest rival, the Liberal Party's Edgar San Luis, has 349,522 votes.
Meanwhile, the Nacionalista Party's Ramil Hernandez is leading in the race for vice-governor.
He has 381,734 votes.
Soy Mercado of the Liberal Party is in second place with 160,376 votes, followed by UNA's Dante Amante with 128,529 votes.
