MANILA, Philippines – A 20-year-old brother of Raymond and Roger Dominguez, the suspected masterminds of the Dominguez carjacking syndicate, has been arrested by Bulacan police.

The suspect was identified as Ryan Dominguez.

Also arrested were Dominguez’s friends, identified as 21-year-old Mark Mario Lacambacal, 37-year-old James Jimenez and a certain Roy Blanco.

Three vehicles -- a Toyota Innova, a pick-up and a sedan --- along with 2 guns and 2 M16 rifles, were seized from the suspects

The Bulacan police declined to issue a statement on the arrests.

However, there are speculations police are looking at the possibility that the vehicles were used in the abduction of Alfred Mendiola, star witness in the murder case involving the Dominguez brothers, whose body was found in Dasmariñas, Cavite last Sunday.

Friends and relatives of Dominguez stormed the investigation room of the Bulacan PNP on Tuesday.

They are up in arms over what they deem as the questionable arrest of the suspect. -- Reports from Gus Abelgas, ABS-CBN News; ANC
