MANILA, Philippines – The decomposing bodies of three men were found inside a pick-up truck in Pangasinan province Thursday evening.

Rodolfo Cayetano, Alberto Reyes and son Joel, all had gunshot wounds to the head.

“Nakita na raw ng mga residente dito ng umaga, pero nagtaka na kami kaya tiningnan namin ngayong gabi,” said Barangay Chairman Julio Dayag of San Vicente West in Asingan.

Residents thought the passengers of the pick-up were just lovers on a date. They later notified authorities when they saw the vehicle still in the area by nightfall.

Police said Cayetano was from San Juan and was engaged in the buy and sell car business. He was onboard the maroon Nissan Frontier (JWL 333) driven by Alberto and his son, Joel--both natives of San Francisco, Nueva Ecija.

Police said Cayetano could have been transacting business when he was shot.
“Negosyante, posibleng sa loob mismo sila ng sasakyan binanatan,” said Police Chief Inspector Arnold Solomon, chief of the Asingan Police.

Police ruled out robbery as the motive in the incident as the victims’ personal belongings were still intact. Report fro John Geronimo, ABS-CBN News
