MANILA -- A magnitude 4.3 earthquake shook Surigao del Sur on Friday evening, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
Phivolcs said the epicenter of the quake was located 18 kilometers northeast of Carrascal, Surigao del Sur at 9:52 p.m.
Intensity I was felt in Carrascal.
The quake was tectonic in origin. It had a depth of 26 kilometers.
No damage was reported.
Aftershocks are also not expected, the Phivolcs said.
