MANILA, Philippines – A grenade explosion rocked a police station in Can-avid, Eastern Samar Wednesday night, authorities said.
Unidentified suspects hurled 2 grenades at the police station at around 8 p.m., according to Eastern Samar provincial director Manuel Cubillo.
Only one of the grenades exploded, damaging the walls of the station, as well as windows of nearby homes.
Witnesses said 3 suspects were seen in the vicinity before the blast but they immediately escaped towards Sitio Calabang.
