MANILA, Philippines -- The Philippine Coast Guard has intercepted a fishing boat that was believed to be transporting smuggled fuel in Zamboanga City.
The Coast Guard reported that the boat had just left the port of Zamboanga and was on its way to Maluso, Basilan when it was intercepted.
Ten drums of crude oil were discovered on board the vessel.
Authorities said the boat's captain, identified as Baisal Faisal, lacked permit to bring the cargo on board his vessel.
