ILOCOS NORTE – The Luna family's ancestral house is making its Museum of Juan and Antonio Luna more exciting to the public.
Located in Badoc, Ilocos Norte, the museum has been modernized. The museum now has a touch screen TV where visitors can browse the paintings and awards that Juan Luna received as well as the Luna family tree and more.
At the second floor of the museum, a visitor can watch a projector that shows Antonio Luna speaking. They can also pretend to be a soldier by using virtual reality.
Juan Luna was a famous Filipino painter and a political activist while his brother Antonio was a military officer.
Both were treated as heroes for their contributions to the Philippine revolution during the late 19th century.
According to the museum's technician, Leonard Christopher Eduarte, the objective of the modernized museum is to engage the youth in an exciting way and make them appreciate more what the Luna brothers did for the country
The Museum of Juan and Antonio Luna is the first modernized museum in Ilocos Norte.
