PANGASINAN, Philippines – Residents of 86 villages in San Carlos City, Pangasinan took part in making a mango pie big enough to fill a gymnasium.
The 100-square-meter mango pie is the city’s entry to the Guinness Book of World Records.
Hundreds of people partook in the mango pie, which took around 100 mango-filled baskets to make.
The city government is planning to conduct seminars and provide finance for citizens interested in entering the mango pie business.
“Balak natin itong gawing one-town-one-product,” said San Carlos City Mayor Julier Rusuello. -- Report from Ernest Vidal, ABS-CBN Pangasinan
