PAMPANGA – A suspected robber who ransacked a house in Bacolor town during the Holy Week break was arrested after authorities found stolen items inside his home on Thursday.

Victim Diane Nicole Yu told police she and her husband were shocked to discover their almost empty house after the Holy Week vacation.

"Wala ng mga gamit," she told police.

Police said the raid at the house of suspect Michael Magtoto was done by virtue of a search warrant issued by the court.

There, police found various items believed stolen by Magtoto during different times.

Other victims, residing alongside the suspect’s unit, confirmed finding their missing belongings inside Magtoto’s house.

Marwin Manaloto, one of the victims, identified his TV and audio set as among those found at the unit's second floor.

"Di na talaga ko umasa pero masaya ako," he said.

Magtoto even led police to a vacant unit where they found the missing M-14 rifle and air soft gun of one of his neighbors.

Magtoto told police he wants to "help" in the investigation as he was not the one responsible for the robberies.

When asked if he was the one who took the items, Magtoto said "No" in the dialect.

Meanwhile, police also found drug paraphernalia inside his unit.

"Malakas ang kutob natin na may grupo sya na sangkot sa mga pagnanakaw," Chief Insp. Dan Gallano, chief of police of Bacolor town, said.
