P200,000 worth of corals seized in Cebu

MANILA, Philippines - Police arrested 2 suspects for carrying P200,000 worth of corals in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu.

Suspects Cherrie Mae Inot and Irenia Pagubo were arrested in Barangay Punta Enaño for possessing 20 boxes of corals believed to be from Bohol.

The two suspects denied owning the corals and said were merely following instructions. However, they declined to give the name of the owner of the illegal items.

They are facing charges of violating the Fisheries Code of the Philippines. – report from Edgar Escalante, ABS-CBN News Central Visayas
