MANILA - A magnitude 4 earthquake shook Calatagan in Batangas province on Sunday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology reported.
The quake struck at 8:27 a.m. west of Calatagan.
It had a depth of 106 kilometers.
Intensity II was felt in Puerto Galera in Oriental Mindoro.
Phivolcs said there are no damages and aftershocks expected from the earthquake.
This is the second tremor to hit the province over the weekend.
On Saturday, a magnitude 5.3 occurred at 1:09 p.m. with its epicenter near Calatagan.
Phivolcs said Intensity 3 was felt in Paluan, Oriental Mindoro; Intensity 2 in Quezon City; and Intensity 1 in Puerto Galera.
No casualties were reported.
