MANILA, Philippines – The low pressure area (LPA) spotted east of the Philippines has dissipated, state weather bureau PAGASA said.

The LPA was last seen southeast of Surigao City.

In an advisory on Thursday, PAGASA said Visayas and northern Mindanao will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening.

The public was earlier advised by the weather bureau to monitor weather advisories and daily weather forecast for the long Lenten break.
