MANILA – Three people were wounded in a collision between a jeepney and a six-wheeler truck along the North Luzon Expressway (NLEx) on Monday.

NLEx officials said the truck crashed into the jeepney after its front left tire burst along NLEx's northbound lane in Marilao, Bulacan.

The injured victims were brought to Santa Clara de Montefalco Hospital in Meycauayan City.

The incident snarled traffic in the area after the truck turned on its side and blocked a portion of the road.

As of 7:50 a.m., all the involved vehicles were moved to the emergency lane and only three lanes were passable as the road was still being cleared of debris, the NLEX management said in its official Twitter account.

The NLEx management said traffic was heavy from Marilao to Valenzuela as of 8:37 a.m. – report from Eric Dastas, dzMM
