MANILA – President Benigno Aquino III is set to attend the inauguration of the 1.75-kilometer Lullutan Bridge in Ilagan City, Isabela.
Aquino will lead the unveiling of the marker and the inaugural drive-through on the Lullutan Bridge, considered the longest bridge in the Cagayan Valley.
A report by the Philippine Information Agency said the bridge was completed ahead of schedule on December 23, 2014 as against its target construction for January 21, 2015.
The bridge costs P772 million and is located at the western part of the Ilagan City.
Aquino will push through with the inauguration even as the House of Representatives is set to resume its probe into the Mamasapano clash today.
Makabayan lawmakers have been asking for Aquino to attend the probe, even preparing a list of questions which they believe remain unanswered.
The Palace, however, said the president already addressed the issues being raised by the militant lawmakers.
