MANILA, Philippines – Over 5,000 runners participated in the 2nd Kapamilya Run held Sunday in Cagayan De Oro, with the proceeds of the run going to victims of Typhoon Pablo in Davao and other beneficiaries.
The fun run kicked off with warm-up exercises at 4:30 a.m. The runners participated in the 13-K run, 5-K and 3-K.
There was also a 500-meter dash for children 12-years-old and below.
The top three runners were given medals, while the top 10 finishers were also given awards.
The youngest child who participated was only 18 months old, while the oldest runner was a 76-year-old grandmother. -- Report from Lorenzon Luzon, ABS-CBN News Northern Mindanao
