CEBU CITY, Philippines - A Cebu judge has decided to inhibit from the case involving a school's decision to bar 5 female students from taking part in graduation rites after their bikini photos were uploaded on social media site Facebook.

Judge Wilfredo Fiel Navarro, presiding judge of the Cebu City Regional Trial Court Branch 9, said he is angry with St. Therese's College's (STC) defiance of the temporary restraining order (TRO) he issued for the students to take part in the graduation ceremonies.

Navarro said he inhibited because his anger caused him to be no longer impartial.

The students' parents have also filed unjust vexation charges against STC officials over the school's refusal to recognize the TRO and allow the girls to take part in the graduation rites last Friday.

They also want contempt charges to be slapped against the school officials and guards who refused the students entry last Friday. - report from Carmi Cavanlit, ABS-CBN Central Visayas
