Red Cross deploys 1,000 volunteers for Holy Week

MANILA – The Philippine Red Cross has deployed 1,130 volunteers nationwide to assist travelers during the Holy Week break.

More than 100 Red Cross personnel are also on duty in anticipation of the influx of travelers.

The Red Cross said first aid stations are set up in 19 churches, 37 parks, 26 gas stations, 31 beaches and pools, and 36 highway spots.

First aid stations are also set up in bus terminals and sea ports.

As of posting, the Red Cross has attended to 41 patients of minor injuries and two patients of major injuries.
