Seashells seized in Cebu

MANILA, Philippines – Over a million pesos worth of seashells were seized by authorities in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu.

The city’s Task Force Kalikakasan said the seashells were found in sacks inside a 40-foot container van in Barangay Marigondon last Saturday.

The task force said the items were supposed to be brought to China by businessman John Vincent Ong, who was not able to present proper documents for the shipment.
