MANILA, Philippines – A magnitude 4.5 earthquake shook Cotabato at 9:17 a.m. on Sunday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported.
Phivolcs said the epicenter of the earthquake was located one kilometer southwest of the town of Carmen in North Cotabato.
The quake, which was tectonic in origin, had a depth of three kilometers.
Intensity 4 was felt in Carmen, North Cotabato, while Intensity 1 was felt in Kidapawan City.
No damage was reported and no aftershocks are expected. -- Report from DZMM.
