Pangasinan gov barred from leaving PH

MANILA - The Sandiganbayan Sixth Division has issued a hold departure order against Pangasinan Gov. Amado Espino Jr. and 15 other individuals.

Espino is facing two counts of graft for allegedly allowing black sand mining operations in Lingayen Gulf and permitting the export of P10.750 million worth of minerals to China in 2011.

The anti-graft court order submitted to the Bureau of Immigration and Deportation bars Espino and his co-accused from leaving the country. They may only be allowed to travel abroad upon securing permission from the court.

Aside from Espino, Provincial Administrator Rafael Baraan, Provincial Housing and Homesite Regulation Officer Alvin Bigay, board of directors of Alexandra Mining and Oil Ventures Inc. including Cesar Detera, Edwin Alcazar, Lolita Bolayog, Denise Ann Sia Kho Po, Annlyn Detera, Cynthia Detera-Camara, Glenn Subia, and Emiliano Buenavista, and Xypher Builders Inc. board of directors Michael Ramirez, Gina Alcazar, Avery Pujol, Cynthia Detera-Camara, and Lolita Bolayog are restricted from traveling abroad.
