MANILA – San Beda College-Rizal in Taytay on Friday received a bomb threat which turned out to be just a hoax, police said.
Superintendent Resty Damaso, officer-in-charge of Taytay Police, said a San Beda security guard reported that the school received two calls from a man who warned that a bomb would explode inside the campus.
Personnel from the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) and Explosive and Ordnance Unit of Rizal Police scoured the campus for explosives, but a two-hour search yielded nothing.
Damaso said there were no students in the campus today, as classes for the school year ended Thursday. – report from Charlie Mendoza, dzMM
