MANILA -- The pre-trial in Marawi City of Coco Rasuman, the alleged brains behind a multimillion-peso pyramiding scam, has been reset to May 22 at 8:30 a.m.

This, after the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) submitted a motion to reset the hearing, citing threats to the life of Rasuman and his wife, Princess Tomawi.

Rasuman and his wife failed to attend Wednesday morning's hearing.

The two are among the respondents in a syndicated estafa case filed by investors in Lanao del Sur for their alleged involvement in a double-your-money scheme.

Another hearing is scheduled in Iligan at 2 p.m. today. -- Report from Roxanne Arevalo, ABS-CBN News Marawi
