SOUTH COTABATO -- A security guard was killed, while two others, including the Korean owner, were injured after four men robbed a gloves factory in Barangay Concepcion, Koronadal City in South Cotabato early Wednesday morning.
Police said four men entered the compound of K Sports Gloves International in Purok Bonifacio, Barangay Concepcion.
The Korean owner was awakened after hearing a shout from outside the company compound.
When he and his partner went out to check, they saw four men beating the company's security guard to death.
The men then mauled the Korean owner and his partner, before taking money from the office.
The owner believes that the robbery is an inside job, since his workers are supposed to receive their salaries by Thursday.
The robbers, however, were only able to take P2,000 from the company, as the owner has not withdrawn any money yet.
The victims identified one of the robbers as Anthony Linga, a houseboy in the compound.
One of the robbers was arrested. He will be charged with homicide and two counts of robbery with frustrated homicide.
Authorities are looking for the 3 other men involved in the robbery. -- report from Rean Hacosta, ABS-CBN News SOKSARGEN
