ILOILO, Philippines - Police have arrested 3 suspects in the Western Union robbery in Pototan town on Tuesday.

Police identified the suspects as Jay-R Aguasito, Warren Onofre and Junie Sinfuego.

Recovered from the possession of Onofre and Sinfuego were a .45 pistol, a .38 revolver, 2 hand grenades, and several 1,000 peso bills believed to be part of the looted money from Western Union.

Senior Superintendent Gil Lebin Jr., provincial police director, said that the suspects are members of the Small Ilonggo Group that operates in Iloilo.

Lebin said that the group sometimes strikes in Metro Manila.

He said that Onofre and Sinfuego were arrested an hour after the arrest of Aguasito. He said Aguasito told police investigators that Onofre and Sinfuego served as driver and lookout during the robbery.

The 3 suspects have been brought to Camp Martin Delgado in Iloilo City for further investigation.
