Jasmin said combined forces from CIDG, Davao City Police, and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency were about to enter the suspected drug den when some of the suspects fired shots at them.

At least 30 others, including a Korean national identified as Ki Chul Kwak, were arrested during the raid.

Also seized from the house of a certain Abbas were two sachets of shabu, drug paraphernalia, a .357 revolver, and bullets which were kept inside a hole on the wall of the suspect's room.
