MANILA -- Two men stole items from a mansion owned by Dionisia Pacquiao in General Santos City early Thursday morning.
One of the robbers, Richard Chato, was wounded after Pacquiao's bodyguards caught him and his companion, Ranil Bendoy, in the act of stealing faucets, circuit breakers and fire extinguishers inside the house.
The two suspects were said to be related to Pacquiao.
According to the initial investigation, one of Pacquiao's bodyguards, Jerson Estipona, fired at Chato after he tried to run away from the scene.
Both Estipona and Pacquaio refused to comment on the incident.
The mansion has been abandoned and is up for sale after Pacquiao transferred to her new house in VSM Heights Subdivision. -- report from Anne Santos, ABS-CBN News SOKSARGEN
