MANILA, Philippines – A Filipino-Chinese nurse was shot dead by riding-in-tandem gunmen in Paciano Bangoy, Davao City Saturday morning.
Sta. Ana police identified the victim as 23-year-old Marjorie Kwan, a registered nurse.
The victim was on her way home at RGA Village, Paciano Bangoy at around 11:30 a.m. when the suspects aboard a motorcycle attempted to steal her bag.
Witnesses said the victim refused to surrender her bag, prompting one of the suspects to shoot her.
Kwan sustained four gunshot wounds in her hand, chest, back and head.
Senior Inspector Ronald Lao, chief of Sta. Ana police, said robbery may have been the motive of the suspects.
However, Lao said they have no leads yet as to the identity of the suspects.
