MANILA – Five people died when two buses collided at a highway in Libmanan, Camarines Sur on Sunday morning.
A One Antonina bus line bound for Metro Manila collided into the Elavil bus, which was headed south along Maharlika Highway at Barangay Mambulo Nuevo.
The casualties include bus drivers Christopher Maquiniana and Elbor Bon, bus conductor Orlando Oli, passenger Marvin Ablay, and another still unidentified male passenger.
Other victims were brought to Bicol Medical Center and Mother Seton Hospital in Naga City.
Initial report shows that the One Antonina bus swerved to the opposite lane after the driver lost control of the vehicle.
Further investigations are being conducted by the Philippine National Police (PNP).
